With pride, we honor our roots, dating back to 1944 in the La Plata neighborhood of Aibonito, where a group of Mennonite missionaries founded a small dispensary driven by their vocation of service and Christian love for a community in need. That humble beginning laid the foundation for what is now the Menonita Health System: a world-class, nonprofit institution with highly trained personnel, state-of-the-art technology, and an unwavering commitment to the health of all Puerto Ricans.

After more than 80 years of service, we continue to grow with our eyes set on the future, strengthening our medical faculty, creating opportunities for Puerto Rican physicians to remain on the island, and playing an active role in training the next generation of healthcare professionals. Today, we operate six hospitals and lead accredited medical education programs, including rotating internships at our hospitals in Guayama and Ponce, and graduate residency programs in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine at our Menonita Medical Center in Cayey. Our history inspires us, but it is the present and our commitment to the future that drives us forward.
